Meet Bonnie - Licensed Massage Therapist
Greetings! My name is Bonnie Finch, and I’m so excited to begin my position with Enrichment Counseling as a Massage Therapist!
I grew up in Abilene, Texas, and graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2016 with a Nutrition Degree. After getting married in June 2017, my husband, Alec, and I moved to Waco, where we live with our precious chi-weenie fur child, Kubo. I love traveling, walking, and watching Netflix. I have been to 20 countries including India, New Zealand, and all over Europe. I love cooking and making plant based foods. While I enjoy seeing and trying new things, I also value taking time for personal development through reading, journaling, and meditating.
I started on an alternative healing path in 2011 when I was having some digestive issues. After several doctor visits, no one could really help determine what was wrong with me, or how to help. Finally, I went to a homeopathic Doctor, and guess what medicine she prescribed? Yoga! I was immediately hooked and began my yoga practice. I truly believe that the path to healing, well-being, and longevity lies in yoga, massage therapy, and healthy eating. These methods have been around for thousands of years, and now I get to share and educate others on the benefits of massage therapy and yoga. I consider a holistic approach to well-being as the means to physical, emotional and mental healing.
After realizing my passion lies in healing from the inside out, I began teaching yoga in 2015, and since then I have completed my 200 hour certification and 500 hour certification. I trained under Alpha Omega Teacher Training in Dallas, Texas, and I currently teach at Yoga 8 in Waco.
While yoga has been an incredible journey for me, I wanted to do something more than just yoga for my students. I was always interested in massage therapy, so in September 2017, I began studying to become a certified Massage Therapist at ABC School of Massage. After diving in to the profession headfirst, I am confident that this is how I have been called to serve others! Through my internship in massage therapy school, I have witnessed the benefits of relaxation and pain management. I truly believe in the power of therapeutic and ethical touch to soothe body and mind. I strive to create an environment that is safe and relaxing, and my goal is to have clients walk away with a feeling that healing and well-being are within their grasps.
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, #MT129813 and Certified Yoga Instructor, 200 RYT, 500 RYT.
